Okoliczności ostatnich kilkunastu dni nie sprzyjały temu, abym swobodnie pozwoliła sobie skupić się na jakimkolwiek streszczeniu z finału Mistrzostw Polski Barista, który odbył się 7-go marca w Łodzi. Tymczasem w panującym chaosie zdrowotnym, pójście do przodu i wypełnianie myśli rzeczami, które w jakimś stopniu mnie cieszą jest dla mnie ważne, bo pozwala mi na odnalezienie poniekąd rozproszonego w pewnym stopniu spokoju, który mi dotychczas towarzyszył, stąd też postanowiłam dłużej nie odwlekać posta i postanowiłam podzielić się z Wami tą wiadomością. Jestem więc podekscytowana i cieszę się dzieląc się z Wami informacją, że podczas finału Mistrzostw Polski Baristów 2020 wypracowaliśmy tytuł Mistrza Polski Baristów 2020 tym samym będziemy reprezentować Polskę na Mistrzostwach Świata Baristów w Melbourne!
Na pewno pamiętacie z wcześniejszych moich postów, że wynik ten był czymś na co nieustannie wraz z Konradem pracowaliśmy i jesteśmy szczęśliwi z efektów naszej pracy! Ze swojej strony jestem tym bardziej szczęśliwa, gdyż w finałowym występie zrealizowałam większość założonych wcześniej celów tym samym umacnia to we mnie poczucie motywacji do dalszej pracy!
Jeszcze w drodze powrotnej z Mistrzostw mieliśmy w swojej głowie masę emocji, a przede wszystkim obraz Mistrzostw Świata Baristów w Melbourne i już myślami sięgaliśmy do kalendarza właśnie tego emocjonującego wydarzenia, które przewidziane było na maj tego roku. Kilka dni od zakończonego finału dostaliśmy informację, że Mistrzostwa Świata Baristów zostają przesunięte z maja na listopad tego roku co osobiście mnie ucieszyło, gdyż eskalująca sytuacja związana z rozprzestrzenianiem się COVID-19 sprawiała, że myśl o podróży do Australii w tak krótkim wymiarze czasu wprawiała mnie w niepokój z tym związany i sprawiała, że zaczynałam czuć się niekomfortowo. Cieszę się zatem, że organizatorzy Mistrzostw Świata Baristów wraz z World Coffee Events oraz Specialty Coffee Association podjęli nie łatwą, ale jakże ważną i rozważną decyzję chroniąc zdrowie naszej kawowej i nie tylko kawowej społeczności. Mając zarazem na uwadze zatrważające wiadomości płynące z różnych zakątków świata związane z pandemią pragnę życzyć Wam wszystkim bardzo dużo zdrowia oraz harmonii i spokoju! Mam nadzieję, że już niedługo wszyscy będziemy mogli odetchnąć z ulgą!
Okres, który teraz przechodzimy skłania mnie do wielu refleksji i na pewno sprawia, że rzeczy, które dotąd wydawały się być dla mnie ważne bądź też mniej ważne nabierają innego, nowego wymiaru. Myślę, że dziś nie tylko ja dokonuję przewartościowania pewnych aspektów, ale chyba większość z nas dochodzi do tego punktu na swój sposób i z jednej strony jest tego dobra i ta nieco gorsza strona, która także może prowadzić nas do odczuwania poniekąd przygnębienia i niepokoju, a uważam, że jest bardzo ważne, abyśmy właśnie w tym momencie krzepili w sobie iskrę tego, co nam dotąd pozwalało sprawnie funkcjonować i rozwijać się na co dzień, iskrę tego, co pozwalało nam rozniecać w naszej głębi ogień, który dawał nam ciepło i zapalał nas do tworzenia, rozwijania, budowania, eksplorowania, eksperymentowania i do bycia sobą, do bycia najlepszą wersją samych siebie w naszej podróży w spełnianiu marzeń.
Kiedy w 2016 roku występowałam na scenie Mistrzostw Świata Baristów w Dublinie reprezentując Irlandię, przede wszystkim moim punktem przewodnim na dane mistrzostwa było podjęcie próby zakomunikowania, że kawa speciality powinna być doświadczeniem dostępnym dla każdego. Idea ta w dużej mierze w dalszym etapie kształtowała moje działania najpierw związane z założeniem palarni kawy Bless Coffee Roasters, a następnie z jej prowadzeniem i rozpowszechnianiem idei kaw specialty wśród społeczności i zarazem po cichu dla mnie samej chyba stanowiły za dewizę tego co w Bless Coffee Roasters tworzymy każdego dnia.
Dziś odnoszę wrażenie, że słowa te nabierają dla mnie jeszcze większego znaczenia i stają się punktem przewodnim na dalszą drogę i motywują mnie do działania.
Reprezentacja naszej pracy, reprezentacja osób zaangażowanych w wytworzenie kaw jakości specialty i reprezentacja smaku związanego z kawami speciality jak dotąd nie stawała przed tak dużym wyzwaniem jakie ją czeka w momencie kiedy wszyscy powrócimy do normalności. Budowanie wzajemnego zaufania i więzi, które myślę, że towarzyszyły każdej osobie zaangażowanej w budowanie branży kawowej co w tak dużej mierze związane jest z szeroko pojętą gościnnością, będzie dla nas czymś co będziemy budować poniekąd od nowa, ale mam nadzieję, że wszyscy szybko odnajdziemy się w nowych okolicznościach i sprostamy nowym, niełatwym wyzwaniom! Osobiście więc myślę, że jest to bardzo ważne, aby w jak najbardziej elastyczny sposób dopasować się do nowych okoliczności, ale jeszcze ważniejsze jest to, abyśmy przez ten cały okres pamiętali właśnie dlaczego to robimy, bez znaczenia w jakim obszarze funkcjonujemy i się realizujemy.
Tymczasem wstąpiliśmy w kalendarzową wiosnę, a mnie cieszy jej widok zaznaczający się coraz bardziej śmiałymi porankami. Liczę na to, że i w Was także rodzi się cząstka wiosny! Dbajcie o siebie, życzę Wam dużo zdrowia.

The circumstances of the last dozen or so days were not favorable for me to focus freely on any summary from the final of the Polish Barista Championships, which took place on March 7 in Łódź. Meanwhile, in the prevailing health chaos, moving forward and filling my thoughts with things that somehow make me happy is important for me, because it allows me to find a somewhat dispersed peace that has accompanied me so far, so I decided not to delay the post anymore and I decided to share this message with you. So I am excited and happy to share with you information that during the final of the Polish Barista Championships 2020 we have achieved the title of Polish Barista Championship 2020 so I will represent Poland at World Barista Championships in Melbourne!
Surely you remember from my earlier posts that this result was something that Konrad and I were constantly working on and we are happy with the results of our work! For my part, I am all the more happy because in the final performance I achieved most of the goals previously set, thereby strengthening my sense of motivation to continue working!
Still on the way back from the Championships we had a lot of emotions in our head, and above all the image of the World Barista Championships in Melbourne and we were already thinking about the calendar of this exciting event, which was scheduled for May this year. A few days after the finals we got information that the World Barista Championships are moved from May to November this year, which I personally enjoyed, because the escalating situation related to the spread of COVID-19 made me think of traveling to Australia in such a short time into the anxiety associated with it and made me feel uncomfortable. Therefore, I am glad that the Organizers of the World Barista Championships together with the World Coffee Events and Specialty Coffee Association have made not an easy, but important and prudent decision protecting the health of our coffee community and not only coffee community. Bearing in mind the alarming news from around the world related to the pandemic, I would like to wish you a lot of health, harmony and peace. I hope that soon we will all be able to breathe a sigh of relief!
The period that we are going through now causes me to reflect a lot and it certainly means that things that previously seemed to be important to me or less important take on a new dimension. I think that today, not only I am re-evaluating certain aspects, but probably most of us come to this point in our own way and on the one hand there is this good and a bit worse side, which can also lead us to a sense of anxiety, and I think that it is very important that at this very moment we strengthen the spark of what has previously allowed us to function efficiently and develop every day, the spark of what allowed us to kindle a fire in our depth that gave us heat and ignited us to creating, developing, building, exploring, experimenting and being yourself, being the best version of ourselves on our journey of making dreams come true.
When in 2016 I performed on the stage of the World Barista Championships in Dublin representing Ireland, first of all my starting point for the given championship was to try to communicate that specialty coffee should be an experience accessible to everyone. This idea largely shaped my activities at first, connected with the establishment of the Bless Coffee Roasters, and then with its running and spreading the idea of specialty coffees among the community and at the same time quietly seemed to me for the motto of what at Bless Coffee Roasters we create every day.
Today, I get the impression that these words take on even more meaning for me and become a leitmotiv on the way forward and motivate me to act.
The representation of our work, the representation of people involved in the production of specialty coffees and the representation of the taste associated with specialty coffees has not yet faced such a big challenge that awaits it when we all return to normalcy. Building mutual trust and relationships that I think have accompanied everyone involved in building the coffee industry, which is so much associated with hospitality in a broad sense, will be something that we will build in a way from scratch, but I hope we all find each other soon in new circumstances and we will meet and face strongly new, not easy challenges. Personally, I think that it is very important to adapt to new circumstances in the most flexible way, but it is even more important that during this whole period we remember exactly why we do it, no matter in what area we operate and implement ourselves.
Meanwhile, we have entered the calendar spring, and I'm happy to see its appearance in beautiful mornings. I hope that a part of spring is also born in you! Take care of yourselves, I wish you a lot of health.
